We are committed to ingredient transparency. Recently, New York State passed a law requiring diaper product packages sold in the state to disclose a printed list of all intentionally added ingredients in the products. We think everyone deserves to know what does into the products they buy, so we took it a step further and updated our label to disclose these ingredients across all of the US and Canada.

Additionally, the disclosure of ingredients will continue to be found on our website and with SmartLabel. SmartLabel’s digital platform lets people access detailed product information on Pampers, such as ingredients, usage instructions, certifications and endorsements.

We know it can be confusing to make sense of what’s in your baby’s products. Ingredient safety is our top priority at Pampers. Our Pampers Safety Promise ensures all our ingredients are tested and evaluated through a rigorous four-step process before they ever come into contact with your baby’s skin. Based on decades of experience, we’ve determined our No-Go ingredients for all our products, including:

• Bisphenol A (BPA)

• Dioxins

• Disperse dyes

• Elemental chlorine

• Chlorine is NEVER added to any Pampers diapers, ever.

• Ethanol/alcohol

  • Pampers diapers, training pants, and wipes are alcohol-free, which means they are also free of ethanol and isopropyl (also known as rubbing alcohol).

• Latex (natural rubber)

• Lead and mercury in printed inks

• Organotins

• Parabens

• Pesticide residues

• Phenol

• Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

• Specific preservatives

  • Pampers does not use preservatives in our diapers. We carefully select preservatives for our baby wipes to keep them safe and fresh. We do not use MIT or CMIT; formaldehyde or formaldehyde releasers; parabens; quaternary ammonium compounds (QACs); and triclocarban or triclosan.

No. Over our 60+ year history, all our ingredients, materials, formulations, and final products are extensively and continuously evaluated at every step of the design process as outlined in our Pampers Safety Promise.

We collaborate with hospitals across the country to ensure we are using international safety standards set by the EU Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety, The Food & Drug Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency and the World Health Organization. A number of our products are also certified by dermatological authorities, such as the Skin Health Alliance.
